Tips for Opening attachments and PDF Files
By default clicking on an attachment or PDF file will open up a new browser window to allow you to view your file online.
Clicking on the icon allows you to save the attachment to your hard-drive for future reference, so you can view the files offline. If you have any problems viewing the attachment in a window, use this option to save the file to your local hard-drive, then open it up from there.
Several users have reported problems opening attachments and PDF files. If you have problems:
- Click the instead of the hyperlink, this will enable you to save the attachment to your hard-drive. Once the file has finished downloading, open it up from the location that you saved it to.
- Check what browser you are using (Select "About" from the "Help" menu). The site works best on Internet Explorer 5 or greater, but should still be viewable on Netscape. If you wish to upgrade to the latest browser, go to http://www.microsoft.com/ie
- If you have problems viewing the PDF files, make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat installed. You can download the latest version from: http://www.adobe.com.au/products/acrobat/readstep.html
- Try to right click on the link that you are interested in and select "Save Target As...", and save it on to your hard drive. Then try opening up the file directly from your hard drive. This also allows you to view the file while you are offline.
